Or Taite has RAD (Resistive Airway Disease)
The downside of spending time with all your cousins is that one of them is most likely sick or getting over a sickness. So unfortunately on the last day of our Hobble Creek trip both of the boys got a cold. We headed straight home for some much needed rest in their own beds and copious amounts of tylenol.
Well since we are such a close family Riley and I decided we wanted to be included in a the runny nose and coughing fun so we also developed a cold. That was 6 days ago and now Haydn and I are feeling much better. Riley has no voice (but that might be a good thing) Taite however did not seem to be getting any better. So off to the Dr. we went yesterday only to discover that Taite's lungs were not recoiling. This explained why he was so raspy and coughing. Poor fella. Now he is on a breathing inhaler every 4 hours. The breating treatments seem to be working though as he has finally gotten some sleep.
While we were at the Dr.'s they kindly did his 1 yr check-up. His hemoglobin levels are back where they are supposed to be. Yea! His head circumference is 18.1 in (40%). He is 29.13 in long (32%) and weighs a whopping 16.62 lbs (0%). Luckily their isn't a negative percentile, so we can't do any worse. The worst part is that now that he is a year I would love to turn his carseat around so he can face forwards, but since you are also supposed to be 20 lbs I can't. He only gained 1 lb in 3 months, so at this rate he will be 2 y/o before he is facing forwards!!
If anyone has any recommendations of how to bulk up their baby I would love to hear them. He is doing awesome with table food and eats almost anything I put in front of him. He also is doing well with whole milk.

Taite's 1st birthday - take 1

My little Taiter D will turn one August 4th. We have been traveling so much this month that we decided to take the party with us. Our first celebration was with my family in Minnesota.
Taite was such a good sport to keep on his b-day crown. I just loved it.
Haydn was also spoiled by getting a present from my parents and grandparents.

Day Trip
We got to go to Las Vegas this past Saturday to see our friends the Boswell's. We had such a fun time. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory, went to the Shark reef where Haydn almost touched a stingray, went swimming and had a barbeque. All in one day!
Blaise and Haydn had so much fun playing together and Taite did his best to keep up with them. Aspen mostly slept like a good little girl.

1 yr pictures
Everytime Riley and I go out to Minnesota we are always in awe at how beautiful it is. We were there in the middle of July and it was so green! No one has automatic sprinklers in their yard they just wait for it to rain! We even got to watch a thunderstorm roll in while teasing my mom that it was going to be a tornado for sure. There is farm after farm of corn rows and bean sprouts. I have always loved old barns and they are everywhere out there. So right across from my parents house is a large field and a small old barn. I thought what a perfect spot to try and get some pictures of the boys. Well wanting the perfect sun almost down light I waited until my kids were past there bed time and all the misquitos were out! Not such a good idea.
Here are a few I did get. Any suggestions on which one I should develop larger and frame? Do you like B&W or color?

Land of 10,000 lakes
We are having so much fun here in Minnesota. I knew if I didn't get a post up soon I would fall way behind. In the crazy gas prices we are in it ended up being cheaper to fly out of Salt Lake than Las Vegas. This also gave us the chance to go to dinner with Aunt Summer and the Cragun's. All I can say about the plane ride is that we made it in one piece.Wednesday we took my city boys out to my Uncle Fred's farm and let them play on the tractors. Haydn has been looking forward to this for over a month and would remind me daily that when we go to Minnesota he was going to ride Uncle Fred's tractor.

The next evening we went out to the lake and got to go on a pontoon and swimming in the lake. We had so much fun. At one point they even turned the driving over to Captain Haydn and Skipper Taite.

After we got to play with bubbles.
