Taiter D

Taite went for his 4 month check-up last week. He now weighs 12 lbs 12 ozs (6%) and is 26 1/4 inches long (80%). The doctor was a little concerned about his drop in weight. He went from 32% to 6%, but considering his brother did the same thing I'm not too worried. We started rice cereal and hopefully that will fatten him up. Otherwise everything else looks great. As you can see from the pictures he is such a smiley little boy. He is now giggling, grabbing onto toys, and talking back with goos and gaas.

Santa's Little Helper

I had Haydn help me wrap the present he got for Taite and he got a little excited about the bows. What do you think? Too many?

Snowman

We spent a weekend up in Salt Lake to go to the Nutcracker, do Christmas shopping and attend a wedding reception. We got there just in time for a big snow storm. It was fun to see some snow to put us in the Christmas spirit. It was also nice to leave it in Salt Lake and go back to St. George where we don't even wear jackets.

Haydn got to make his first snowman with Uncle Clu and Grandma Snow. Aunt Megan held Taite so mom could take lots of pictures. We had a great time despite everyone coming down with a cold.

New Blue Truck

Riley now has a new baby! A 2008 Toyota Tacoma. One of the perks of his new job was a car allowance. Being almost 31 years old this is his first new vehicle. He custom ordered everything that he wanted and absolutely loves it. It has a back seat so the whole family can fit. Huge bonus from playing carseat shuffle with the Ranger.

The price you pay

I have often heard the phrase "That's the price you pay for having children" Well apparently the price I pay is in body parts. I have two wonderful boys and I am down one gallbladder and one thyroid. A couple weeks ago I went to the doctor because I can't remember the last time I didn't feel tired. Hoping that she wasn't just going to tell me - of course you're tired you have two little kids and are working. I had my blood drawn and found out I had recently had mono, was iron deficient and that my thyroid was no longer working. So back on the prenatal vitamins with extra iron supplements and as soon as my thyroid calms down I will be taking medication for that as well. Luckily if I want to have more kids I still have an appendix, extra kidney and part of a lung I could give up.

My baby is 2!!

Sunday was Haydn's second birthday. I still can't believe that we have a two year old. We had a fun party for him with his cousins, Sonora and her parents, Brejden and his parents, G-ma and G-pa Snow and Great G-ma and G-pa Squire. We started the evening with pizza and let the kids play. Haydn got a playground set from mom and dad. He was supposed to get it for his b-day and Christmas last year, but when he broke his leg that all went out the window.
Then everyone took a turn at the pinata before cake and ice cream and presents. I wish I knew how to get the video off our camcorder and into my computer because when we all sang "Happy Birthday" Haydn got the biggest smile on his face. We are so grateful to have Haydn in our family. He brings laughter and joy to our lives everyday.

Veterans Day

I still can't believe that my little brother is a "vet". Shawn served two tours in Iraq with the U.S. Marines. We are so glad that he is now out of the military and spends his days going to college and surfing. Much safer. To all of you who have or know someone fighting in this war WE SALUTE YOU.

I love enchiladas!!

I couldn't resist posting this picture of Haydn shoving his mouth full and saying "I love enchiladas." It was so funny.
